Still more work, work, work

... I know I've been a bad blogger but there's a lot going on round here and it's taking up all my time and brain space. So I'm slowly, slowly, slowly getting my story right while I wait, wait, wait for some non-work related news.

I hate waiting.

Work, work, work...

...is where I'm at at the moment. Have no news as a result! Sorry to be so boring but I really, really, really, REALLY want to get this book right so I can have a clear desk for the pre-Christmas madness.
So, its another afternoon at the library (the uni library has gone to summer hours here - NIGHTMARE!) - as I wrestle with the fact that Ryan, my current hero, is too darn irresistible!!!!

New Cover Alert!!!

Just found this on Amazon - available in Jan/Feb in the UK!!! :)

The rewrite has begun!

Sorry have been bad blogger but I've been trying to work on the novella while coping with some unforeseen other stuff. Happily, the roughest of rough drafts is down and I'm in the rewrite zone (I know you're not supposed to during Nano but I have a deadline!). The other project I'll hopefully get onto in December once this one has been sent away. I think I could manage two at a time IF I had all day to write but with squeezing writing in for a couple of hours in the evening and a few weekend marathons really means its a one at a time thing for now - I'm just too tired running after those kidlets to be able to split my mind into any more fragments!!!

I'm compiling a list of favourite Christmas songs for the novella. One of my personal faves is Snoopy and the Red Baron (Snoopy's Christmas) - but I don't know that the rest of the world (ie not NZ) even knows it - is it huge out there or just here???

One week in...

... and things are a little slow round here. Had a flying start but as I'd thought things got hairy midweek when life is always ultra full on. And it is full on at the moment.
Still, I am over halfway thru the first draft of the novella and just need to grit my teeth to get the rest of it down... it is a really fun story but the version I have in my head is so much more fun than what I have penned so far!!!! Hooray for rewriting ;)

November!!!

Means Nanowrimo and I happily spent all day in the uni library today clocking up over 5000 words - yippeee!!! Of course I won't be writing anywhere near that the rest of the week but Saturday is my big writing day and it was nice to kick it off with a bang... and yes I did use some of those hard to wrap presents!!!

Also now it's November, that means BOUGHT: ONE NIGHT, ONE MARRIAGE is on the bookshop shelves in Australia/New Zealand (it has sold out on the Harlequin Australia website - so thanks to you here who already bought it!) AND it is now available as an ebook or direct from Harlequin in the US - click on the do-dackey below for more - or, if you're in the US, you can wait til next month for it to be in at your local store :)
