Happy New Year 2012 by Sarunyu_foto http://freedigitalphotos.net |
I hope those of you who celebrate Christmas had a wonderful day! Mine was filled with laughing children. We'd had our carol service and 'big dinner' the night before so after the present sharing we went down to the beach and went kayaking - and jumped off the wharf - such good fun!

Thanks so much to those who've been in touch over the last week - more big aftershocks are just going to happen unfortunately but that magnitude 6 quake just before Christmas was a bit full on. Fingers crossed they ease off much more over the next few months.
Meanwhile, I've been parcelling up signed books to send to some newsletter subscribers - are you signed up?! There's a free signed book offer for subscribers only - full details are in the next newsletter so be sure to sign up in the box in the sidebar :)
