... sometimes when I'm really knackered (even more than usual) I find I have to escape and my favourite escape (funnily enough) is to a book. So I sit there and abandon everything while I read an old fave for the forty-millionth time... Sparkling Cyanide it was tonight.

LOL Natalie. I love This Rough Magic, too! Isn't that the one where the dolphin gets beached...? Now that definitely rates as favourite scene! And I adore Max. The trouble is with MS's books I've read them so many times so I do tend to head for my favourite scenes when I'm tired or in need of a comfort read :-)
yep - dolphin beached scene is a winner. love it. I've read those books that many times those characters are so real to me and I just step into their world and out of mine and its bliss for those few minutes.
You know, if I managed to write ONE book that did that for ONE other person in the whole entire world then I'd have reached the zenith I reckon...
