Happy things...

I got a Valentine's card today. Now wasn't that nice? And you know it reminded me of a conversation I had with some girlfriends last Valentine's Day where our little buddy group fell into two camps...

1. The 'it's all gone commercial and hubby should show me he loves me every day' ladies and the
2. 'Yes I know that and he does but I'm still wanting the flowers and dinner thanks all the same' ladies...

Hmmmm. Which side are you on?

For me, well my wedding anniversary was only a few days ago and it tends to overshadow Valentine's and right now the way things are so busy at home... I'm happy with a wink and a smile and a rendevous in the shower at 11pm... whoa! Too much info! ;)

Nappies changed by me = 13. (Unlucky, I got the preschoolers BIG one).
No. of times up in the night = 4 (ok. maybe I was checking to see if editor had emailed as well... LOL).
Tee-shirt changes = 1. Better.

I'm definitely in the second camp! Hee hee! In fact if my memory serves me correctly I was part of that very discussion (or is nappy brain responsible for me imagining I was there!)

and yeah rendez-vous in the shower need to be saved for your next book!! ;)

I'm blushing - does he realise I'm your CP and I get to read the shower scene before him!! gg

Loving your blog. Loving your work too. Not diggin the nappies or prospect of being up four times a night much. But as for the what Valentines camp I'm in - I'm a sucker for the flowers. I pretend not to care but I do get mushy when he walks in with them. Though sadly I won't currently fit in our shower stall as his reward(too much tum for both of us!) jx

hmmm - i kind of think its all blatant american commercialism and don't really buy into the dinner and flowers thing. but i usually do try and find a smutty/gross valentines card for a laugh.

i would like more flowers in general though. in fact i would go so far as to say that i think i deserve more flowers!

am still thinking of some hero candidates for you....early contenders include daniel craig and clive owen....

and curse you for putting that bonnie tyler song in my head - i was humming it round the office all day...

Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream of what I need

i'm with SG - blatant american commercialism. can't stand it TBH.

actually my theory (& i may well get shot down in flames by both camps here) is that Valentine's Day (was about to abbreviate it to VD but thought better of it...) is really for single people. before you get married you celebrate Valentine's Day (it really is a shame I can't abbreviate that); afterwards, you celebrate your wedding anniversary.
