The first day of March

I’m not sure how it got to be March already, but here we are. Today its a week exactly since the earthquake in Christchurch. It’s a very difficult time for so many in my beloved home city. While I currently live in a town a couple of hours down the road, it will always be my home town. Indeed, we still have our home there. That house is still standing but far more importantly our tenants are all safe. I was very lucky to have left Christchurch almost an hour before the quake hit and all my immediate family are safe. So many others aren’t. This terrible tragedy is heartbreaking for our nation as it is for so many other countries who have lost citizens in it. If you did want to help at all, here’s the link for the Red Cross appeal.

In book news I have new releases this month. WALK ON THE WILD SIDE hits the shelves in Australia and New Zealand and is available direct from Harlequin in the US (it is on the shelves there in April). You can read the first chapter here

Also, THE END OF FAKING IT is available now direct from Mills & Boon UK – it will be on the shelves in the UK in April. You can read the first chapter
here.

My seventeenth story for Mills and Boon is finished. NICE GIRLS FINISH LAST will be out in the UK in September – other dates to follow. I’m planning to do a giveaway shortly for my double April releases so keep an eye on the blog and my Facebook page for details.

Thanks so much to those who’ve contacted me over this last week, your thoughts are truly appreciated, and mine too are focused on those in Christchurch who are facing such devastation and heartbreak.

Hugs to you and yours, Natalie. Such terrible devastation. My family comes from Christchurch so to see what's happened down there is just dreadful. We're doing a fundraiser at our school on Friday - we'll all be wearing the red and black. :-)

Oh and I got The End to Faking it! Can't wait to read it. :-)

Congratulations on your successes Natalie, and I'm happy to read (from my little corner in Auckland) that you and yours are safe. It's just devestating and I just cant watch the updates on the news anymore because the tears just start flowing again and I only know one person in chch (safe luckily).

ANYWAY I was only wanting to write to say congratulations - it's so warming to read about a little kiwi success story. :))))

Hi Jackie - yes, our town is a sea of red and black every day at the moment which is really nice to see. I hope all your family is okay too. It's just dreadful.

Thanks so much for getting The End of Faking It already! Do you download from M&B direct? I don't have my copies yet... I do hope you enjoy it :)

Hi Tash - thanks so much for your support - I really appreciate it.
So glad your friend in Chch is safe - you're right about the telly - it's too distressing to watch it :(

Thanks so much Lacey -- I am well out of the quake zone really, and my extended family are too at the moment. It is the most awful thing - to be honest I still can't believe it's happened. So many people are having such a rough time of it there.

Have been praying for the people of Christchurch, such an awful tragedy in such a beautiful city. I had to stop watching/reading the news clips because I couldn't stop crying so I can only imagine how you native Kiwis feel.

So glad you and your are all ok.
