Dani is smart, independent, and sexy. But most compelling about Dani is her strength. She’s been deeply scarred by life but she’s made the best of it by relying solely on herself. Even more interesting is that Dani is sarcastic and a romantic-pessimist who doesn’t believe in love-at-first-sight nor soul mates. This makes Dani an unusual Harlequin heroine as all these personality traits are usually those of Harlequin heroes. But as a reader it was so emotionally fulfilling to watch Dani stop living life as a loner and grow to love and trust Alex.
While true that Dani is an excellent heroine, Alex is her perfect hero... a departure from the traditional power-wielding, manipulative boss often found in the secretary/boss romances. He is warm, caring, and is the perfect counter-weight to Dani’s tough exterior.
... As Alex and Dani’s emotional relationship deepens so too does their physical relationship. This makes for a sensual read that is based less on the physical mechanics of who-does-what-to-whom-and-where and more about emotional connection through physical intimacy.
... it is a satisfying emotional romance with two lead characters readers will adore.

Wow. That's a great review, well done! Nano power to your fingers (do you remember how you introduced me to it years ago? COOOL!) I still have my pin badge! jx
Hi Judy!!!! Thanks :)
Oh yes, I've still got my pin badge too - they were cute! How is your nano coming this year? I *think* if I have a MASSIVE weekend I can nail my draft... then comes the even more massive edit though!!!
Will there be a sequel? Eli?
There is a story for Lorenzo coming - in the US its going to be released as REBEL WITH A CAUSE and it's out in Feb 11. It was out in the UK/Oz/NZ as UNBUTTONED BY HER MAVERICK BOSS.
Sign up for my newsletter or go 'like' my Facebook page and be in the draw to win copies of both plus party charms and of course... CHOCOLATE!!! ;)
Thank you, although I'd still like to find out whether Dani does ever locate her brother.
You might want to reread the book ;) - that mystery is resolved before the end...
Congrats Nat! A well deserved review!
