I'm embarassed to admit...

...that my Bohemian Curls maker is still in its box. It's no longer on the kitchen bench tho - has made it up to my room... but still....
I've had other things on my mind!!!

Namely worms. Yes. Worms. Hubby and the kids and I have just made a worm farm... more on that some other time tho because TOMORROW is launch day for a fun new competition I'm running together with my fabulous CP Judy Jarvie!
Books, lovely things, fun things... all could be yours :)

All you have to do is start thinking about some of your old favourite movies... especially those ones which made you reach for the tissues...

Impulse Purchases

...do you do this?!

So I was just up at the DVD store picking up a movie for hubby and me to watch tonight and the appliance store is right next door. Hubby said to look at an electric razor for him... which I did.. but you know on the way I was walking down the hair appliances aisle and there were all these neon paper signs - actuallythere were signs throughout the store- 50% off this, 30% off that, OVER 60% off something else... signs, signs, signs - blinding, bamboozling, bewitching...

And there it was - Remington's Bohemian Curls - over 50% off - from 80 bucks to... 15.

Yep, 15. Hot pink sign that one.

Now I need a hair curler like I need a hole in the head. I have no TIME to use a haircurler - hell some days I don't get the comb all the way through the hair that hasn't seen a hairdresser in almost a YEAR (I'm ashamed to admit).

I just tie it back in a ponytail mess and that's it for the day.

But you know I did it don't you. I left that store clutching my 15 dollar bargain bohemian curls thing...

...sad, sad, sad. Please tell me I'm not alone in this! ;)

Between Books

I always seem to use this time to dream up way too big dreams - and plans to ORGANISE my life (can't help it, its the ex-librarian in me) - I WAS going to tidy up all my paperwork... needless to say this hasn't actually happened. And now it won't again for some time because my new characters have started talking in LOUD voices... ah, such fun.
Now AGES ago Aideen asked a writer-ish question... I'm off to find it and work out a reply...
back soon!

And remember, new competition here next week and YOUR input is essential!

Admin...

... so I'm having that mad 'clean up' between books - where I come out of imaginery land and realise the paperwork (and the rest of the house) is a tip. I've just spent the day getting my email inbox down from 1150 messages to 4.
Not bad huh?
OK I admit I simply shifted a few into new folders... but hey, it makes me feel better. Now I just need to update my website, get new excerpts and reviews loaded etc and THEN my friends, it'll be time for a new competition and some FUN.
Stay tuned...

Starting the day with a smile...

And how could I not when I wake up to such a lovely comment as that from Brigitte in yesterday's post?! There is nothing - nothing - like gettting mail from readers. It is so nice to know that people out there are enjoying my books - and enjoying them so much they make the effort of contacting me to say so. I really appreciate it. And yes, it makes me want to write more. My constant challenge to myself is to write better books - always striving, always wanting to write something that will strike a chord (and hopefully entertain) with someone...
~ now I'm reminding myself of Galaxy Quest and the 'never give up, never surrender' line ;)
but you know what I mean. Every book is a challenge, you're never fully happy with it, and you always wonder 'what if I'd...' - but it's wonderful to know you're out there enjoying them anyway - and its so cool to think you're in France reading it Brigitte! This is some of what is so brilliant about the internet.

Actually, this is something I love about the community boards over at eHarlequin too. Community members there post reviews (as part of the 100k book challenge) and you can comment so its really easy to connect with readers and writers. The latest newsletter from eHarlequin highlighted this feature this week and I was chuffed to see that HIS MISTRESS BY ARRANGEMENT was listed in the top 10 most blogged about books :)

AND I found out today that that book is out in Brazil at the moment - you can buy it here.

Lastly, I'm over at the Pink Heart Society today talking about a movie I've loved for a long time - come and watch some with me!

Reviews...

...for PLEASURED BY THE SECRET MILLIONAIRE have come in while I've been working away revising... amongst other things the lovely Julie at Cataromance had this to say:

Pleasured by the Secret Millionaire is a terrific and enjoyable contemporary romance featuring two flawed and richly drawn characters that sparkles with wit, style, sophistication, passion and intense romance! Natalie Anderson’s terrific Modern Heats are not to be missed and readers looking for a slice of romantic escapism laced with a dose of realism will not want to miss Ms. Anderson’s outstanding contemporary romance novels!

Crazy Days

- you would think that I'd get a break post-deadline - but we lurch from one mini-crisis to the next in this house. After the deadline last week, it was onto the specialist for the twins and they had a wee operation on Monday. It was all fine. But I am very tired.
Revisions have arrived for the book - not too bad at all thank goodness, so now the ops are out of the way, its back to that. So you can expect a couple of quiet days here again - sorry!
BUT I will be over at the Writing Playground tomorrow so please come and say hi!

The Most Fabulous Freebie...

...before you do anything else, go to Daily Lit and get your FREE (that's right FREE) copy of Kate Walker's SPANISH BILLIONAIRE, INNOCENT WIFE - have you ever tried Daily Lit? I hadn't and now I'm a convert - should have figured I would be when I'm such a Daily Online Read addict over at eHarlequin too.
Anyhoo - they're giving away a copy of Kate's book - you can have it delivered daily or just monday to friday - 50-odd installments emailed to you direct! I picked daily but of course they have this great link you can click to get the next installment emailed right away - so I'm up to number 27 already!!! ;)
Kate writes the most wonderful, iconic Presents stories - quick go snap it up! And while you're there, you can add my ALL NIGHT WITH THE BOSS and HIS MISTRESS BY ARRANGEMENT to your order ;)

Meanwhile, I made my deadline and am now angsting over what she's going to say about it. And reading Kerryn's comment earlier I realised I haven't offically reported that my 6th book has sold!!! (A couple of weeks ago actually, but its been crazy 'round here - all those hot pretend boyfriends had me flustered!)
RUTHLESS BOSS, ROYAL MISTRESS will be out sometime next year - I'm not entirely sure when yet because this book forms part of a fabulous continuity - like the Royal House of Niroli one - only this one is the Royal House of Karedes - stay tuned for more info as I can give it!!! :)

The Deadline Looms...

...and I'm working on the final scene - final sentence in fact. It just isn't right - yet.
Once I have it then it's time for reading and reading and proofing and final touches...
but I'm over at Tote Bags 'n'Blogs later today/tonight (depending on your time zone) - come and say hi!!!
